Sweet 'N Sour Chicken Wings

Here's a great Super Bowl or party-time snack, that will get rave reviews!  It takes a little time to make them... but it is SO worth it!

For every 2 pounds of small chicken "drummies" or wings you make, use the following ingredients:

2 beaten eggs

Garlic power

Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Cornstarch (at least a box to coat the wings)

Cooking oil (to sufficient fill the fryer)

Sauce

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup vinegar

3 tablespoons of water

3 tablespoons of soy sauce

Salt and pepper chicken pieces. Dip chicken piece in beaten egg seasoned with garlic powder.  Then roll coated pieces in cornstarch.

Deep-fry in oil until lightly browned.  Place cooked pieces in a shallow foil-lined (IMPORTANT STEP - unless you like cleaning really sticky pans!) pan and cover with the sauce mixture.

Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, turning each piece halfway through the baking time.  the sauce with thicken and coat the fried chicken pieces.

Serve hot or cold.

NOTE:  These will be a huge hit!  Be sure to make plenty (at least 6 pounds) for your guests - they won't last past the halftime entertainment at the Super Bowl if you bring them out at the opening kickoff!

ENJOY
